Ashley was born and raised right outside Houston, but went rogue by going to college out of state at American University in Washington, D.C. Later she moved to Los Angeles where she volunteered on the LA suicide crisis hotline and spent way too much time in traffic. Ashley went to grad school at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Her PhD is in Counseling, Clinical, and School Psychology with an emphasis in clinical psychology. She completed her clinical internship at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio and her postdoctoral residency on the PTSD and Anxiety Related Disorders track at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, specializing in trauma treatment and growth. She is currently a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in downtown Houston. She loves dogs, coffee, and her cowboy boots, all probably a little too much.
